DOLE Family Welfare Program

It has always been primary concern of the Department of Labor and Employment
to work for the promotion of productive and gainful employment, advancement of
workers' welfare and maintenance of industrial peace.

Guided by the National Population Policy, the DOLE in 1986 formally embarked
on a project called the "Population/Welfare Program at the Workplace".
Its ultimate goal is to improve the quality of life of the Filipino workers.

The Program is being spearheaded by the Labor Population Program Office and
is being implemented through the Workers' Amelioration and Welfare Division
(WAWD) of the DOLE's regional offices.
