TACLOBAN CITY – The Department of Labor and Employment regional office headed by DOLE-8 Regional Director Forter Puguon, in coordination with the provincial government of Eastern Samar, announced the conduct from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on November 6-7 of a job fair for local and overseas employment at the Capitol Building in Borongan, Eastern Samar.
The forthcoming job fair, which is considered as a one-stop shop job fair, is sponsored by the provincial government of Eastern Samar through Governor Ben Evardone and would be technically assisted by DOLE regional office.
Paulita Jaca, DOLE-8 information officer, revealed tat the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), National Statistics Office (NSO), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), and the Professional Regulations Commission would be present during the said fair.
According to Jaca, DFA would work on the processing and issuance of passports to applicants; NSO, on the authentication of documents; NBI for the issuance of the NBI clearances; and PRC, for the professional licenses.
Six licensed recruitment agencies, namely Sam-7, Alcare, PMG, Unity Worldwide, DJL, and Mothers Way, would be around to cater the applicants.
Interested applicants are advised to bring along with them the basic requirements such as biodata, employment certificate (if any), diploma, transcript of record and passport, if an overseas applicant.
The job fair would provide people in Eastern Samar an opportunity to find work here in the country or abroad.
