TACLOBAN CITY – President Macapagal-Arroyo has declared November 30, a Tuesday, as a working holiday. Instead, November 29, a Monday, would be non-worming day.
This way, workers, both in the private and public sectors, would benefit a longer weekend aside from “spurring domestic tourism”. November 30 marks the birth date of national hero Andres Bonifacio.
These changes were provided for under Proclamation Order No. 727 issued by Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita.
But activities and celebrations related to the occasion would still be observed on November 30.
