TACLOBAN CITY – Chief Supt. Dionisio Coloma, Jr., police regional chief, presented some suspects of various crimes yesterday as he underscored this is a part of his command’s thrust to relentlessly arrest persons who committed crimes.
Among those presented by the police regional chief before members of the media was Anacleto Moring, whom Coloma identified as the number six among the city’s most wanted criminal.
Moring, 35, a resident of Barangay 69, Anibong district, this city, was accused of killing of a certain Arnel Dalimet in Anibong last October 30.
Also presented by Coloma was Emmanuel Afable, 40, a resident of Borongan, Eastern Samar who was the prime suspect in the killing of a Muslim trader on August 1997.
The suspect, Coloma said, was arrested by police officers in Calbiga, Samar where he took refuge when he escaped form the Borongan provincial jail on May 1996.
Meantime, two suspects of illegal possession of firearm and hydrochloride methamphetamine (shabu) were likewise presented by Coloma.
Members of the city police arrested Francisco Boco, 23, and Allan Lopez, 19, last Tuesday in Magallanes Street where the two resides. Confiscated from them were 37 sachets of “shabu,” two grams of marijuana; one piece of Cal .38 revolver; four live ammunitions and P700 cash, said to be proceeds of the illegal substance.
With the exception of Afable, all suspects were detained at the city jail while awaiting court decisions. Afable would be remanded to the Borongan provincial jail.
