TACLOBAN CITY – A 44-year-old man in Hernani, Eastern Samar was arrested by authorities for the crime of rape.

In a copy of spot report of Hernani police station, the suspect was identified as Reynaldo Codillo alias Narding, a resident of Brgy. San Miguel, Hernani town.

Codillo was apprehended in Guiuan, Eastern Samar in the afternoon of October 30 by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued October 27, 2004 by Judge Cesar Abit, presiding judge of the Hernani municipal trial court.

Judge Abit has recommended a bail bond of P120, 000 for Codillo’s temporarily release.

Codillo is known as one of the wanted persons in their town.

The Guiuan police led by Insp. Mateo Macale and Hernani police Insp. Arnulfo Amascual apprehended Codillo, who gave himself up peacefully.
