PALO, Leyte – Calling those who wanted to choose a career in the civilian law enforcement service.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 8 announces the nationwide recruitment of 600 new employees, 200 of whom will come from the Visayas region. Sources from PDEA 8 said that they are in need of new employees, as the transition period that began in 2002 will expire this July 2007.
Applicants should be a Filipino citizen, a college graduate, not less than 21 but not more than 40 years old, a Career Service Professional passer or a PRC license holder and height must be at least 5’5 (male) or 5’2 (female). Requirements for application include the following: Birth certificate issued by the NSO or by the civil registrar, certificate of eligibility (CSC or PRC), 2 pieces of passport size ID pictures and application from. Forms are available at the PDEA 8 office at the second floor of the PCA (Philippine Coconut Authority) Bldg at Government Center Candahug, Palo, Leyte or can be downloaded at their website www.pdea.gov.ph.
Training of the qualified applicants will be held at PDEA Academy located inside the PNPA (Philippine National Police Academy) complex at Silang, Cavite. The new employees will supplant the PDEA members that will be recalled back to their mother agencies such as the PNP, NBI and Bureau f Customs.
