Tacloban City - As part of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources' (DENR) agenda of good governance and in order to carry out a more effective and efficient implementation of the Departments' programs and projects in the region, Secretary Angelo Reyes has assigned Regional Executive Director Alfredo Pascual to head the DENR in Region 8.
In compliance with DENR Special Order No. 2006-1023 dated November 30, 2006, Alfredo Pascual assumed the post as DENR 8 Regional Executive Director on December 15, 2006.
RED Pascual replaced Leonardo Sibbaluca who was assigned as Regional Executive Director in Region 7 with regional office in Cebu City.
In his speech during the turnover ceremonies, RED Pascual exhorted the DENR employees to work as one family. He sought the support and cooperation of all employees in accomplishing the goals and targets of the Department.
"Let us make our service responsive to the needs of the people and continue or even improve the good performance of the region which you have started during the administration of RD Sibbaluca," Pascual said.
