TACLOBAN CITY – With few domestic job opportunities and large employment demand abroad, four recruitment agencies will again visit this city on January 13-26 to invite applicants for overseas employment.

Each requirement agency would assign a personnel at the satellite office of the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA-8) based on an schedule and interested applicants would only visit the POEA.

The recruitment agencies and their respective schedules are: Davis International Recruitment Agency on January 13-15; Enhance International Staffing Network on January 19-20; Employment Agency Corporation on January 19-21; and Alcare Manpower Services Corporation on January 17-26.

However, these agencies would be offering job opportunities only for nurses and domestic helpers, according to POEA-8 regional coordinator Rose Jervoso.

Jervoso said that at present only nurses and domes tic helpers are in demand abroad particularly in countries like United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Hong Kong.

It was learned that the recruitment agencies coming, which are Manila and Cebu based companies, are well appreciated for their good performance record as shown to POEA.

Meanwhile, Jervoso disclosed that over 30 applicants were deployed for employment abroad last year by different agencies, most of them domestic helpers.
