BORONGAN, Eastern Samar – The province of Eastern Samar will showcase the best of the province during the 13 th Provincial Board Members League of the Philippines (PBML) national convention on February 17-19, 2005 at the Waterfront Hotel, Lahug, Cebu City.
Provincial Board Member German B. Alido, Eastern Samar Provincial Legislators League representative, disclosed that the Sangguniang Panlalawigan had thought of this activity to complement the tourism program of Governor Ben P. Evardone.
It is an appropriate advertising opportunity because of the presence of provincial legislators nationwide, Alido said.
According to Atty. Norman Bocar of the Provincial Environment and Tourism Office (PETO), the showcase will include an exhibit of the province’s pristine natural beauty, rich biodiversity resources and other tourist allures as well as a cultural presentation through songs, dances and festival depicting Eastern Samar’s rich cultural heritage.
Vice Governor Leander R. Geli, a musical artist, will direct the show, Bocar added.
Eastern Samar previously participated in various tourism promotions like the WOW Philippine: Best of the Region, Travel Mart, and the Bahandi.
