NS officials welcome Asian Spirit’s flight

CATARMAN, Northern Samar – Governor Raul Daza together with Mayor Jun Rosales of this capital town and Atty. Eddie de la Cruz, provincial administrator and other provincial and municipal officials lead their warm welcome on Feb. 2 of Asian Spirits jet aircraft, airlines maiden flight to Catarman domestic airport.

The 80 – seater Bae 146 Jet aircraft or ‘Jamboline’ is the first jet aircraft that will have flight to this province.

In his message, Capt. Antonio Buendia, airline president, thanked that warm welcome accorded to their group by the officials of the province and at the same time assuring their airlines’ all-out support to the tourism industry programs of the province.

According to Capt. Buendia, the four-engine jet has a 455-miniuet travel rime from Manila to Catarman, has an outstanding performance, the quietest, coolest and cleanest class of aircraft, he said.

The jet arrived at 7:20 a.m. on Feb. 2, at Catarman’s domestic airport with their airlines and ATO executives on board.

The breakfast was tendered by the provincial government at the governor’s residence.

In his brief message, Gov. Daza was happy for the airlines continued serving to the province especially of their jet’s outstanding services being offered to the passengers.

Likewise, the governor lauded the people behind the success of Asian Spirit, of which to his mind is owned and managed by the pilots themselves.

On the last part of the inaugural flight, souvenirs were distributed to invited guests and several other visitors including the media who were present during the affair.
