The inner court went wild as the loud voices and nonstop out-and-out shouts of rappers from EVSU and some out-of-school youths became hotter and hotter in each round.

Fourteen (14) flip toppers were in the battle of grabbing the first flip top winner title last February 17.

The clash was composed of two rounds. In each round, they were given one minute to deliver their punch lines.

The 14 were paired with each other to battle on stage using their creative and witty play of words.
Jiggy was matched with Djin, Dayen with Greyfox, Rapsnipe versus Jigsaw, Jkarma and Janeed, Satanas
against Mumoy, Nico opposed to Tracor and Mistayoso counter to Panulay.

After the first round, the 14 rappers were trimmed down to seven. The seven advanced to the next round with the same mechanics.

Djin and Dayen were the first to throw lines at each other. Djin clutched the spot for the next level. Jigsaw was matched with Jkarma. Jkarma became speechless which made Jigsaw grip his second win. Satanas and Nico were the next to match but Nico dropped out and Satanas was automatically announced as winner in their fight.

In the semi-finals, Djin competed with Jigsaw. Djin’s offenses and defenses puffed Jigsaw’s. Djin again won. Then, Satanas was matched with Panulay. With Satanas’ style and powerful words, Panulay bowed to Satanas.

The final round was a match of two rappers who stood out after three levels of the competition. Satanas and Djin both made the crowd wild with their callous yet funny lines. The fight was too tight. Instead of a two-round final match, they made it to three. But at the end, Djin prevailed and grabbed the first flip top award of the said competition.
